Onion Sets “Turbo” (Spring planting) is a golden-brown skinned variety, it’s late maturing and produces good yields of medium-sized onions.
The rounded bulbs have a papery, thin skin with crisp, firm flesh and a deliciously strong flavour that is suitable for use in cooking and delicious eaten raw in salads and sandwiches.
Shallot Sets – Golden Gourmet have golden brown skins, pale flesh with a wonderful flavour and store well into winter.
Golden Gourmet are easy to grow and an improved strain of the traditional variety Giant Yellow.
Planted very early in the season, in mid-February if possible, they mature faster than those grown from seed.
This variety has larger and better quality bulbs with a reduced likelihood of bolting.
Golden Gourmet is a very high-yielding, Dutch variety that can be harvested as early as July.
Superb for pickling and general cooking when extra strength is required.

When plants are about 20cm (8in) tall, or before if they start to lean, stake with a pea stick
You can grow peppers in containers, growbags or in open ground as long as it is a hot, sunny spot (at the base of a wall for instance)
Mint contains a number of vitamins and minerals. It is rich in Vitamins A and C and smaller amounts of Vitamin B2. Vitamin C is an important antioxidant and may help to decrease the risk of certain cancers such as colon and rectal cancer. Mint also contains a wide range of essential minerals such as Manganese, Copper, Iron, Potassium and Calcium
Like Rosemary, its sister herb in the Mint (Labitae) family, Sage contains a variety of volatile oils, flavonoids (including Apigenin, Diosmetin, and Luteolin), and Phenolic Acids, including the Phenolic Acid named after Rosemary, Rosmarinic acid
This herb is a very rich source of vitamins such as Vitamin C and Vitamin A as well as the B-complex group of vitamins such as Folates, Pyridoxine, Niacin, Riboflavin amongst others, that function as an antioxidant as well as aiding metabolism
Chives are rich in Vitamin C and K and one of the richest sources of Vitamin K.

Borage contains many phyto-nutrients, minerals, and vitamins that are essential for optimum health and wellness.

It has short-stalked rounded leaves and separate male and female flowers in the form of catkins. The small, rounded fruits are cone-like and the seeds are dispersed by wind and water.
The common alder provides food and shelter for wildlife, with a number of insects, lichens and fungi being completely dependent on the tree.

Carpinus Betulus – Hornbeam is a large deciduous tree developing a fluted grey trunk.
Leaves 5-8cm long, ovate, conspicuously ribbed, turning yellow in autumn.
Catkins open in spring, followed by hop-like fruiting catkins to 8cm.

Corylus Avellana – Common Hazel is a large, spreading deciduous shrub or small tree, with rounded leaves turning yellow in autumn, and yellow male catkins in early spring, followed by edible nuts in autumn.
When left to grow, trees can reach a height of 12m and live for up to 80 years (if coppiced, hazel can live for several hundred years).
It has a smooth, grey-brown, bark, which peels with age, with bendy, hairy stems.
Leaf buds are oval, blunt and hairy.
