  • Seed Potato – Desiree – Early Maincrop

    Seed Potato – Desiree – Early Maincrop produce oval, red-skinned tubers with pale yellow flesh that retains a firm texture when cooked.

    Superb cooking properties make these early maincrop potato a flexible, firm favourite.

    Desiree are heavy croppers that are tolerant of drought.

    Great disease resistance to blackleg, common scab, powdery-scab and eelworm.

    They really are great all-rounders and make perfect Bakers, Roasties and Wedges as well as Chips and Mash.

    Certified as bred in the North of Scotland, you can be assured this is a first-class, hardy variety producing crops ready for harvest in as little as 60 days.

  • Seed Potato – Marfona – Second Early

    Marfona seed potatoes are a high-yielding, second early variety, which produces consistently large crops of waxy textured potatoes.

    This is the perfect seed potato for baking while also good for boiling and chipping.

    Marfona tubers are oval-shaped, with light yellow skins and cream-coloured flesh.

    Second early seed potatoes are typically ready for harvesting around 15-22 weeks from planting, depending on how far North you are.

  • Seed Potato – Caledonian Pearl – Second Early

    Seed Potato – Caledonian Pearl – Second Early is a new variety of second early with waxy flesh which makes an excellent salad potato.

    Caledonian Pearl produces large yields of uniform, thin and yellow-skinned tubers with shallow eyes.

    The skin of the tubers sets quickly so benefits from an early harvest.

    Caledonian Pearl also has high resistance to Potato Virus, bruising, Powdery Scab and splitting.

    Seed Potato – Arran Pilot – First Early seed potatoes are one of the nation’s favourite garden-grown potatoes due to their excellent taste, texture and versatility!

    These first earlies have been around since 1930 and have remained popular ever since.

    Arran Pilot are very versatile and great for steaming, boiling, chipping, baking, mashing and roasting.

    This variety produces high yields of white-skinned tubers with shallow, brown eyes, has superb resistance to all forms of scab and scores 9 out of 10 for resistance.

    Seed Potato – Swift – First Early are the earliest of earlies and produce delicious, round-to-oval-shaped new potatoes with creamy flesh and shallow eyes.

    Swift is a high-yielding variety and is a superb all-rounder in the kitchen!

    Great for boiling or steaming, perfect served hot with butter in salads or as a side dish, and are a good all-round cooking variety.

    Seed Potato – Estima – Second Early is a versatile option for your allotment or veg patch.

    Estima is a stock favourite on the supermarket shelves. If harvested early it is ideal for boiling or mashing, while leaving in the ground for longer, it produces wonderful baking potatoes.

    A heavy cropper, the large oval tubers have a smooth skin, and pale yellow flesh that has a subtle flavour.

    Seed Potato – Kestrel – Second Early is a real gardeners’ favourite variety producing tubers of consistent size and shape with attractive, smooth skins and violet eyes.

    Potato ‘Kestrel’ has good slug resistance, Golden Eelworm and partial White Eelworm resistance.

    Seed Potato – Maris Piper – Maincrop has a golden skin and creamy white flesh with a fluffy texture and fantastic flavour. This makes it a versatile all-rounder! Great for Chips and Roasted Potatoes, and also perfect for Mash and Wedges.

    “The best chipping variety available”. Maris Piper produces dry, floury tubers that rarely discolour while cooking. This popular purple-flowered maincrop potato is also Golden Eelworm resistant.
