Vegetable Seeds – Spinach Giant Winter is a superb, dark-green-leaved, early maturing variety producing large, semi-savoyed, lance-shaped leaves with a strong, rich flavour.

Spinach Giant Winter is a variety that grows large in size with a spreading, rather than upright habit, and is cold-hardy.

Best for late summer and autumn sowing for winter and spring use.

This variety will survive early winter unprotected, but best under a cloche or fleece during mid winter to help protect against the cold and the winter birds.

Produces delicious, very healthy, high yields of glossy, dark green, rounded leaves that can be used in soups, stews, casseroles, salads, sandwiches and smoothies.

This gorgeous green veg is delicious, a good source of folic acid, manganese and vitamins A & C, and can be used in just about any dish for a quick and simple vegetable boost.

Well suited to the British climate, this variety can be grown in the vegetable plot, in your borders or in containers on your patio.

Salad Seeds – Leaf Rocket Astra produces very fine, scalloped leaves with a superb peppery flavour and make an attractive addition to gourmet salad bowls.

Rocket Astra is a vigorous, British-bred variety with superb bolting tolerance even under poor soil or adverse weather conditions.

When blanched, Rocket also makes a great alternative to Spinach.

This easy to grow salad vegetable can be harvested in approximately 21 days from sowing and is ideal for growing all-year-round when grown in an unheated greenhouse or under cloches during the cold months.

Height and spread: 15cm (6″) if harvested regularly or up to 60cm (24″) if left uncropped.

It produces decorative, feathery, deep green leaves used raw in salads or lightly chopped and used in stir-fries or soups.

With a distinct taste, which is similar to mustard or peppered cabbage, Mizuna is fast becoming a favourite with gardeners and chefs alike.

Mizuna is a vigorous plant and is tolerant of cool climates which makes it ideal for growing throughout the UK.

Salad Seeds – Leaf Corn Salad Vit – Lambs Lettuce is a small, dark green, leafed vegetable with a nutty flavour and soft texture that makes a tasty addition to winter salads.

Leaf Corn Salad Vit is a vigorous variety best suited to winter, spring and autumn crops.

It has clearly veined leaves, has a distinct minty flavour and is resistant to powdery mildew.

Most commonly know in the UK lamb’s lettuce is a relibale, easy to grow salad item.

Not recommended for summer production as the plants tend to go to seed fairly quickly in warm weather.

Winter crops should be under a cloche, fleece or in a polytunnel.

Harvest by picking a few leaves from each plant to keep them producing more leaves.
