    Made from very dense jarrah redwood then soaked in preservative many years ago, these fantastic sleepers feature all the beautiful signs of age, irregularity and are incredibly long-lasting, guaranteed to last at least another 8+ years in normal conditions.

    There are numerous uses for hardwood railway sleepers! Ideal for raised beds & borders and architectural structures.

    Graphite Slate Chippings – 40mm – 20 kg Bag

    Bulk Graphite Slate Chippings – 40mm are a beautiful, quarried product perfect for adding instant colour and texture to borders, paths, rockeries, ponds and water-features.

    The size and flat angular nature of the slate makes it ideal for a wide variety of ornamental and practical uses.

    The use of graphite slate chippings in borders and planters as a mulch or ground-cover greatly reduces water evaporation and suppresses weed germination while maintaining permeability for plants and a healthy soil environment.

    Our slate is a popular choice due to its wonderful colour and texture.

    As will all stone, it displays a wonderfully richer colour and an eye-catching extra shiny finish when wet.

    Also perfect for filling in any gaps between loosely arranged slabs, crazy paving and stepping-stones.

    Our slate aggregates are UK sourced from North Wales and the Lake District.
