An early blooming variety, Alyssum Carpet of Snow has a ground-hugging habit that is perfect for rock gardens or cascading from crevices in walls.
Despite its delicate appearance, this variety is surprisingly wind-tolerant and is very well suited to coastal areas.

The leaves and flowers are edible and have a strong flavour, similar to kale.
