Vegetable Seeds – Climbing French Bean Blue Lake is a heritage variety dating from 1885 that produces heavy yields of long and thin, stringless pods with a superb sweet flavour.
Blue Lake reliably produces legumes over a long period thought the season.
The mid-green coloured pods are best picked when 10-12cm long & used fresh.
The older pods can be dried and the beans used as haricot beans.
